Last night I attended a paint party at the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. in Kitsilano.

I sampled cocktails, the new summer menu loaded with delicious artisan flatbreads and salads, and became an artist with the help of local creative, Tara Higgins.

There is something so soothing about sticking your fingers in paint and creating something that doesn’t look half bad.

I’m not an artist by any stretch of the imagination but I did spend my teen years watching Bob Ross religiously, so I’d like to think that some of him lives in my creative subconscious. I could even hear his soothing voice telling me to paint happy little trees as I flowed through my creative process.

Here’s the finished product, tell me what you think in the comments below.

I have 2 tickets to share with a lucky reader for the Art Vancouver Opening Night Gala happening on Thursday. Just enter below.

Thank you to Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. , Art Vancouver and Tara Higgins for a great night out and tickets to the Opening Night Red Carpet Gala.
